SALICYLIC ACID
Salicylic acid is an exfoliating acid commonly applied topically to combat blemishes. It can also be used to treat psoriasis, dandruff, corns, warts, and calluses. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic agent that goes deep into the skin to unblock clogged pores, clearing away pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. It softens dry, scaly, and thickened skin, making it an effective exfoliant to smooth skin and boost radiance.
You can use salicylic acid on a daily basis, depending on the severity of the condition and the strength of the product used. But it can cause irritation, so most experts recommend using it in moderation, beginning by applying it 2-3 times a week and working up from there. It’s always best to consult a doctor or dermatologist for more information, especially if your condition is severe.
