Elasticizer Review - What Is It?

You've almost certainly heard of it - it's loved by celebs, hair professionals and hardcore fans. And it was created for Audrey Hepburn back in 1974! But what exactly isPhilip Kingsley Elasticizer and why is it so great for your hair?  Let's explain: healthy hair stretches when wet but returns to its original length once it's dry. Not the case for hair in poor health, which snaps when stretched. Elasticizer is a pre-shampoo treatment that floods the hair cuticle with moisture. The result is supple hair with greater elasticity and bounce, but without a heavy feel. It's super popular in the summer when hair is exposed to sun, chlorine and salt water. It's also popular in the winter, when the hair can dry out from exposure to wind and central heating. If you're noticing that you hair is dry and brittle, keep reading!

Jo Freeman JosBeautyDiaries Elasticizer review
We asked model, makeup artist and beauty blogger Jo Freeman to try Elasticizer for the first time and tell us what she thought.

Jo told us although she'd used Philip Kingsley products before, she was yet to try this famous hero. After a summer spent abroad, her hair was in desperate need!

Here's what Jo told us:

After a summer in various hot climates (I’m not complaining but my hair is!) and a botched colour job a few months ago, plus various salon visits to rectify, my hair was crying out for an intensive hair treatment. Having tried several professional ones to use at home not to mention 2 courses of in salon treatment Olaplex my hair was in no better state. It was dry and frizzy despite the serums and smoothing creams I was using and obviously it’s a vicious circle of using straighteners to smooth down as this leads to more damage.

Since using Philip Kingsley Elasticizer for the past month or so my hair has felt much more hydrated, softer and looks healthy and glossy and repaired. A little goes a long way and you only need a small amount especially with fine hair, mine is medium to fine and I use the size of a five pence piece. It is very nourishing but doesn’t weigh the hair down like some intensive hair masks. I would highly recommend it to keep hair healthy, and in great condition.
