When you take a look in the mirror, say goodbye to the sad memories that summer is over and say hello to the new Autumn you. Repair and rejuvenate with allbeauty.Summer, gone for now but never forgotten. Now to move onto the next chapter and welcome Autumn with open arms. But sometimes that can be tricky when we are suffering from a couple of the disturbances summer has cooked up. Yes, it may have caused a couple of poorly heads the morning after the BBQ’s in the garden or encouraged more freckles to appear than we would have ideally chosen however, we cannot forget the damage the sun can cause us, especially to our hair. We all know that U.V Rays and direct sunlight can have a huge impact on our skin but occasionally we forget the damage it causes to our hair.

Damages

Damage to our hair can be brought on by the core four;
  • Heat
  • Chlorine
  • Salt water
  • Sun exposure
If you notice that your hair has;
  • Turned brittle (a bit like an old twig)
  • Gone a little dry (lack of natural oils)
  • Prone to breakage (just like your old vintage china tea cup)
  • Has decided to fall out (childhood memories of me and my sister)

We have a couple of ideas that could be perfect for you to beat the breakage...

#1 Mask ItThe magic of hair treatments. Masks are an intense and powerful formula which sink into our hair and nurture each strand. For post-summer frail hair, smother a mask (after shampoo) when in the shower and leave for 3-5 minutes whilst you let the goodness go to work. Welcome back hydration and happy feeling hair again. Guess what’s even better? You can still smell the glorious scent of these hair masks when you are out of the shower, thanks to the long lasting fragrances. Why shouldn't your hair smell great too?

We would love to put a solution on our scalp and grow thick, bouncy and volumized  hair, just like Meghan Markle. But sometimes our dreams are too stubborn to come true. On average, we lose around 50 and 100 hairs a day, without even noticing. During the Autumn, we may notice this increase, but that’s normal. As well as adjusting any tight styling regimes, reduce dragging your hairbrush through the knots and keeping on top of your diet (yes, diet is the word here for our hair too! A lack of vitamin D & iron can increase hair loss), We would recommend trying our favourite prevention products;

PhytoTreatments Phytolium 4 Chronic Thinning Hair Treatment - Our Price £32.95 save 28% off RRP

NanogenHair Thickening Treatments Shampoo 240ml- Our Price £7.95Nioxin 3D Intensive Care Night Density Rescue 70ml- Our Price £26.95 save 33% off RRP#3 ConditionThe importance of a great conditioner is completely underrated. Even though we love a good hair cleanse, AKA shampoo, some can strip the ‘soft and silky’ feel from our lovely strands and leave the hair feeling vulnerable. Conditioner is the last protection that we put into our hair in the shower and potentially avoids having to bring out the Tangle Teezer. This Autumn, why not leave your conditioner on for an extra couple of minutes in the shower to give your locks some extra smooth attention?

Take the chop

Autumn is the time of year where we can be selfish without feeling guilty. The kids are back to school, the Christmas lists have not been received just yet and who needs a better excuse to get an early night once the clocks go back? Time to repair and rejuvenate, it’s the perfect time to make a change.
It can be a huge decision to have anything more than two inches cut from your hair, but we’ve got you. Our top 5 favourite shortcuts allow your hair a fresh start as we enter Autumn. Just take these photos to your salon and show them your new found love:

The Pixie; Could you imagine missing your morning alarm and waking up 15 minutes before work? This Pixie look buys you hours of time in your busy day. P.s. the perfect look for showing off warm cosy scarves as the lower temperatures greet us.

The Lixie; here at allbeauty we feel that the common question of"Do you think I will suit a short look’"  or  "I think my face is too round for short hair’"  has more to do with your state of mind than the shape of your face. This hairstyle is personal to you, and that’s all that matters. Efficient and sexy, the Long Pixie makes a statement.
The Shob; the short bob means business. It’s empowering and exciting to make a change. We can still tie our hair up for the gym and then let it loose on the work Thursday night drinks. This style gives you the best of both worlds.

The Lob; Say goodbye to blow drying your hair for hours. From personal experience at allbeauty, the long bob has received lots of great feedback. Quick and easy to style. Healthier & thicker hair? Yes please.

The ‘good couple of inches’ The usual request if we are looking for a ‘healthy chop’ or it’s normally ‘as little as possible’ when trying to maintain. Sometimes we have to bite the bullet and make that change for the good of our hair. Remember; no matter how short you go, it’s not a permanent change.
