The Vented Grooming Brush is perfect for general hair maintenance. It is also ideal for adding root lift to short and medium length hair. This handy-sized brush is designed with widely spaced, round-ended pins to prevent scalp irritation and abrasions. It is vented to allow heat to disperse, ensuring quick blow-drying with minimised heat damage. It also has anti-static properties to banish flyaway ends, and is cushioned to ensure only gentle pressure to your scalp.
Brushing Tips:
Brush your hair gently, starting from the ends and moving upwards, carefully easing out any knots. Pulling a brush roughly through your hair from top to bottom can worsen tangles, cause breakage and scratch your scalp. Be especially gentle when hair is wet. Wet hair is swollen by up to 30% and rough brushing can cause it to snap.
Drying Tips:
Correct blow-drying will not harm your hair. However, applying heat to hair that is already dry can cause brittleness, breakage and dullness. Hold your dryer about 6 inches away from your hair. Start on a high speed and high temperature, and gradually reduce the heat as your hair begins to dry. It is best for your hair if you leave it slightly damp, or 'just dry'.
Philip Kingsley cares deeply about the future of the planet. That's why they chose to manufacture their new beautifully designed bioplastic bottles from sugarcane, which makes an immediate impact on lowering carbon emissions in a big way. Their choice to switch to 100% recyclable bioplastic was driven by the increasingly apparent collective need to face the climate crisis; the process of producing plastic from sugarcane is a carbon-negative one.
They have also removed 95% of outer cardboard cartons from their products and are working on the remaining 5%, but in the meantime they have switched to FSC-certified stock, supporting sustainable forestry.
The underlying ethos of Philip Kingsley is to create highly effective products, in a sustainable and ethical way.
