Lamberts Essential Fatty Acids OracOmega x 120 Capsules

Lamberts® OracOmega® combines a potent level of plant antioxidants with pure fish oil to create a unique, clinically-relevant formula. Two capsules provide an impressive 2,500 Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) units, alongside 760mg of omega 3 fatty acids, with 390mg of EPA and 260mg of DHA.

Increasingly, the effectiveness of each antioxidant is being measured in Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) units for comparison, and interestingly, certain plant phenolic compounds appear to be more effective antioxidants than vitamins C and E. The health benefits of the omega 3s only exist if the fatty acids are not oxidised. Whilst this is prevented in supplements by careful processing and the exclusion of air by the capsule shell, once the omega 3s have been absorbed into the bloodstream, they risk being oxidised by highly reactive 'free radicals'. As such, the inclusion of plant antioxidants, from green tea, rosemary and grape seed extracts, help to prevent this oxidation process.
