After straightening my hair abroad (I have 3c afro just past the shoulder lenghth hair), my hair became brittle and dry and was breaking at the roots each time I combed my hair. To the extent that i have tufts of hair at the roots where the hair has broken off. So far I have used this product twice, and my hair is now not breaking so badly each time I comb my hair. I would actually say that the breakage is much less. It also leaves the hair shiny, nourished and in good condition. I leave in over night for best results.
