Almost everyone has a skincare regime, from a minimalist routine squeezed in at the end of the day to something  a bit more elaborate like the 10-step Korean Beautyroutine.

A good haircare routine is just as important as a skincare one, and if you don’t think you have the time, keep  reading - allbeauty brings you an easy-to-manage Olaplex routine that will take your good hair days to the next  level.

Re-building Broken Bonds

Your hair is made up of di-sulphide bonds, and these bonds can break for number of reasons, from heat or  chemical treatments to excessive brushing, sun damage, and even certain hair ties. When you have lots of weak  or broken di-sulphide bonds, your hair can become brittle and prone to breakage and split ends. Step in, Olaplex 0 and Olaplex 3 – two restorative treatments which are amazing for rebuilding those broken bonds and bringing  life back to damaged locks.

Next, let’s talk moisture - just like your skin, your hair needs plenty of it. Dry hair tends to turn frizzy because it tries  to absorb moisture from the air, which is why humidity can make frizz even worse. Olaplex no. 8 Bond Intense  Moisture Mask is just the thing for parched hair, providing intense moisture and strengthening your hair from  within.

Your Weekly Haircare Routine

Whether your hair needs moisture, bond repair, or a bit of both, this step-by-step Olaplex haircare routine is a game-changer. So what’s first?

Intensive Care – Once Weekly

Pick a day of the week that works for you - this is the day when you show your hair how much you appreciate the  stress you put it through and spend a little extra time on it than usual. Give it the intense bond-building care it  needs with Olaplex 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment and the Olaplex Number 3 Hair Perfector and it will  thank you for it.

Step One – Prime Your Hair

Use Olaplex 0 to prime your hair ready for the next step. Work the product onto dry hair until it is damp, using a comb to get even coverage. Leave it on your hair for 10 minutes while you make yourself a cuppa / pour yourself a glass of wine and move on to step two.

Step Two – Build Those Bonds

Without rinsing no. 0, apply Olaplex 3 onto your hair and comb it through. Leave it on for at least 10 minutes. For  extremely damaged hair or if it needs an extra boost, you can leave it on for up to 40 minutes. Sit back and relax  while Olaplex does the hard work for you – why not check out the latest beauty tips and inspiration on the allbeauty  blogwhile you’re waiting.

Step Three – Cleanse and Condition

This is where you customise your haircare routine according to what your hair needs. If your hair needs bond building, use the Olaplex no. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and no. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner.

If your hair needs an injection of deep moisture, skip Olaplex 5 and quench your hair with the Olaplex no. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask. Apply to rinsed hair and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off and complete your routine with no. 7 Bonding Oiland no. 6 Bond Smoother before styling as usual, and you’re good to go.

Mid-Week Washdays

When it comes to the question of how often to wash your hair, less is more. As a general rule, once every 2-3 days  is ideal, depending on your hair type. Resisting the temptation to wash your hair every day means you won’t strip  your hair of its natural armour, and you can use that extra time saved to do your nails – bonus!  Follow this simple two-step routine for your regular dose of haircare TLC.

Step One – Shampoo and Condition

Simply shampoo as usual using the Olaplex no. 4 shampoo, which leaves hair easy to manage, shiny and healthier  with every wash. A little goes a long way, so start with a coin-sized squeeze and work your way up if needed. Follow  with no. 5 Bond Maintenance conditioner - apply a generous amount from scalp to tip, leave on for three minutes  and rinse through.

Step Two – Style

Use the Olaplex No 6 Bond Smoother to kick any frizz to the curb for up to 72 hours. Apply small amounts of the  product from mid-lengths through to the ends. Start with a small amount and build as needed. Fine hair will  probably need less of the Bond Smoother than coarse hair.

Finish off with the Olaplex Bonding Oil, especially if you use heat to style your hair. Simply apply a few drops to your  hair and style as usual.

Everyday Styling

Since Olaplex 6 and 7 can be used on dry or damp hair, you can use them as and when needed to get rid of flyways  and frizz or as protection before styling. As the Bond Smoother works for up to three days, the chances are you’re only going to need a little touch of the Olaplex Bonding Oil for an instant good hair day.

Daily Protection

If you’re suffering with dull hair, tangles, or poor style retention, these could be signs of heat damage or pollution. Say hello to your daily hair shield - NEW Olaplex No. 9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum creates a protective layer on your hair and is packed full of antioxidants to combat the free radicals in pollution. This weightless, silicone-free, leave-in hair serum provides heat protection up to 450°F (232°C) and shields hair from pollution for 48 hours, giving you satin shine and tangle-free softness for a great hair day every day.

To use : As the first step in your styling routine, apply half a pump to damp hair and work the product up from the tips to the roots for frizz-free hair.

There you have it, a haircare routine that doesn’t take up any valuable time on weekdays and gives your hair a  well-deserved pamper once a week!
