Ah Springtime! There’s nothing quite like it.  As we continue to work from home, the team at allbeautyHQ and the salon have been sharing our favourite things about the season with other via Chat. Products, Activities…. We’ve covered it all!

Spring is the perfect time to think about a hair refresh! What are the ultimate Hair Products to take you through Spring?

Katrina : I am loving Shu Uemura at the moment. This Ultimate Reset Masque was recommended to me by my hairdresser and I completely understand why he raves about it! After just the first use, it made my hair feel soft and silky, despite being bleached, and I really had that 'just stepped out of a salon' feeling!

Jessika : As someone who has been bleaching and colouring my hair (for over 12 years!) I decided to try Olaplex as a means to heal damage, especially for the ends of my hair which are drier and snap often. I’m hugely impressed and an Olaplex convert! This product has helped smooth my hair without leaving a heavy or sticky residue and sinks into the strands, making it easier to brush and maintain. A lot of friends have commented on how healthy and shiny my hair looks, I have been recommending it to everyone!

Louise : My mum is French & so not being able to travel at the moment, being able to buy the Holy Grail of French Salon Haircare - Kérastase - and get it delivered straight to my mum’s door is now my go-to gifting solution! She is loving the versatility of the Blond Absolu range. Scented with Edelweiss, the range has three different blond shampoos which you can switch between, as well as conditioners and serums. The lilac packaging of the range also makes for a perfect Spring Beauty bathroom shelfie! I’m not blonde and have fine hair (but a lot of it!), so I am using a combination of Philip Kingsley Elasticizer & Kérastase Aura Botanica.

We know that Spring Fragrance is traditionally fruity or floral. Do you switch up your scent for Spring?

Heather : Yes! My favourite Spring Fragrance is Davidoff Cool Water For Women. This is the perfect, lighter fragrance for Spring and smells so beautiful, it is fresh and summery. It's perfect for all times of the day and night and is not overpowering but is still long lasting. It also takes me back to my youth, it's a timeless fragrance that can be worn by all.

Rachel : Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDP is a velvety soft, romantic and delicate fragrance that makes me think of Spring. It has top notes of peach and rose; heart notes of musk and amber with sandalwood and patchouli at it's base. I feel that spring is in the air whenever I wear it! I tried it initially because the pink bottle is gorgeous - but the first spray was addictive!

Isaac : L'Eau D'Issey is my favourite Spring Fragrance! It’s so fresh!

Jake : I love home fragrance during Spring - in particular. the NEOM diffuser! Me and my friends love NEOM Organics London products all year round, but especially during the Spring for fresh home fragrance. The oils last ages, it keeps diffusing automatically throughout the night and the scent really does help with sleep!

The temperature is rising - what are your favourite products to use in preparation for more time spent in the Great Outdoors?

Jen : Got to make sure I have some St Tropez Body Lotion! Time to get ready for the sunshine and getting those legs out!

Louise : Spending more time outside means that Spring is a good time to consider switching bronzer shades - benefit have a good shade variety of Hoola - from the original Hoola matte bronzer to Lite, Caramel and Toasted. Bath & Body wise, L’Occitane en Provence has some beautiful Spring products that really help to moisturise your skin! The Almond range is my go-to.

Finally, we know that the allbeauty team is a very social bunch - what are your favourite Spring activities?

Jen : I love nothing more than a Sunday Session catching up with friends outdoors in the sunshine!

Heather : Spending time in the garden growing my own vegetables and going to the beach with the kids. And of course, BBQ's in the garden with friends and family.

Louise : I always breathe a sigh of relief when Spring finally arrives! As the days get longer, I enjoy spending more time outside. Evening strolls with a sketchpad is a really fun way of rediscovering the neighbourhood!

Rachel : I just love being outdoors and seeing the flashes of bright acid green leaves on trees. I feel completely uplifted when I see these signs of new beginnings - bringing longer days and that hint of warmth in the air! I’m starting to get outside and sort my garden out, and I am LOVING longer evening walks. I’m also sewing a new Spring wardrobe!

Isaac : One thing I love to do is have a nice ol yomp* through bluebell woods as the bluebells come into flower, illuminating the woods with purple lilac flora.

Jessika : I agree with Isaac - I love walking in Woodlands during Spring!

As the end of lockdown looks to be in sight - remember, there are always flowers for those who wish to see them!

*We questioned Isaac what a Yomp was. Apparently it comes from Royal Marines Slang and stands for Your Own Marching Pace. You go for it, Isaac - Yomp away!
