A right of passage for all top celebrities, releasing a fragrance cements their position in the hall of fame. Admittedly, some celebrity perfumes offer no more than a pretty bottle and named brand, but there are many more that have rightly earned their place as best sellers. In no particular order, here are 10 celebrity perfumes that we love:

Nude, Rihanna

The third fragrance by Rihanna, Nude is an easy-to-wear floral-fruity scent. Top notes of guava and pear are offset against white floral mid-notes, including gardenia and orange blossom. Base notes of musk, sandalwood and vanilla orchid round the fragrance off.

Promise, Jennifer Lopez

This new fragrance from Jennifer Lopez is sure to be a hit. The bottle is reminiscent of that Versace dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards, and wouldn’t look out of place among other luxury fragrances. Promise starts with fruity pineapple, Italian orange and Sicilian lemon, and is balanced with peony, violet, caramel and tonka bean. Good enough to eat!

Thank U Next, Ariana Grande

New in from Ariana Grande, Thank U Next is the epitome of a pretty-in-pink fragrance. If you love fruity-floral perfumes but aren’t a fan of the heavier woody scents that they so often contain, you’re in for a treat. This simple yet effective fragrance contains only six notes: raspberry, pear, pink rose, coconut, musk and macarons. This is a perfect scent for Spring/Summer.

Christina Aguilera, Christina Aguilera

A sensual, sophisticated scent, Christina Aguilera’s self-titled perfume isn’t as “young” as others on our list. Blackcurrant and plum are paired with peony and jasmine, while base notes of vanilla and musk balance the fruity-floral fragrance.

Love and White Diamonds, Elizabeth Taylor

If you’re looking for a perfume that is floral without being too sweet, you have to try Love and White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor. Neroli and petitgrain offer a green, floral introduction, quickly followed by Turkish rose, tuberose and gardenia. Base notes of cedar, sandalwood and musk add staying power and ground the fragrance.

Stash Prive, Sarah Jessica Parker

New in, Stash Prive is an updated version of SJP’s popular Stash perfume. Inspired by her time in Moscow, this ultra-clean fragrance leads with top notes of quince, grapefruit and pink pepper. Sage and orange blossom follow as mid-notes, and aromatic woods of birch and Haitian vetiver create the base.

Signature, Shawn Mendes

A unisex scent that leans toward the feminine, Signature by Shawn Mendes is soft and sweet without being cloying. Of the nine notes, the easiest to pick out are dulce de leche, maple sap and pineapple. For a similarly unisex scent which is slightly more masculine, give Signature II a try.

Midnight Fantasy, Britney Spears

An oldy but a goody, Midnight Fantasy was released in 2007 to the excitement of millions of teenage girls. Perhaps surprisingly, this perfume outdid all expectations, becoming a top-seller which is still loved today. While the bottle won’t be winning any awards, the fragrance is top-notch, with notes of sour cherry and plum balancing freesia, iris, orchid and amber.

Meow, Katy Perry

Another bottle that is best suited for deep at the back of a drawer, Meow by Katy Perry is a great example of why not to judge a book by its cover. A sweet, cosy scent, the takeaway notes are vanilla, pear, tangerine and amber. White florals in the form of gardenia, honeysuckle and jasmine add sophistication.

Heat, Beyonce

Last but certainly not least is Heat by Beyonce. A warm, heady fragrance suited to evenings and cooler days and not for wallflowers. Of this decadent perfume, the standout notes are peach, almond, orchid and macarons, with a base of tonka bean, amber and sequoia.

With so many impressive celebrity perfumes on the market, there’s never been a better time to try one. Which of our list has piqued your interest? View the full range of celebrity perfumes here.
